  • — Nail biting end in the Swedish Teamplay

    This weekend all series-system expect the highest divisions (Elitserien) plays its final weekend of the Team Play season in Sweden. Most interesting is of course on the two division 1 series where the winners will play in next year’s Elitserien.

    Before this last round the Landskrona club BGK Linjen seemed to have a firm grip on the victory and the appealing Elitserie place for next season. But on the other hand the chasing team Gullbergsbro had home ground on eternit, but they where 6 points behind with only 14 points to play for.

    Minigolfnews can now present the victory interviews from Predazzo. A short interview with Rebecca Weber and Erik Tiekstra after their titles as European Champions.

  • — Astra Stanwyck wins Illinois State Open

    Second Annual Illinois State Open was held in Chicago Ridge Park District on Ball Fore Miniature Golf course in Worth Illinois. This course was also 2009 US Open host. 14 players competed in Open division with winner taking away 150$ and paid entry to USPMGA Master's. $75 for second place and $50 for third. Vicinity of windy city supplied plenty of wind gusts for practice and tournament and unusually cold temperatures.
    Jeremy Inanbinet opened the tournament with the best tournament round of 35. Koepen Hane and Schifler Jason tied for 2nd and third with 39. The previous Illinois State Open...

  • — Jeffrey Smith wins PPA Texas Open

    Jeffrey Smith, from Dallas, Texas won the 2010 PPA Texas Open held August 21-22 at the beautifully maintained Putt-Putt Golf & Games in Tyler, Texas. Smith finished the eight round, 144 hole medal play event 63 under par, 225. Rainey Statum, from Huffman, Texas finished second, two shots back. Smith earned $504 USD for the win, his 50th career victory on the Texas/Western Tour, tied with Statum for most all-time. Statum earned $374 for second place. The top six finishers got paid.

  • — Randy Reeves wins PPA Georgia State Championship

    Randy Reeves from Montgomery, Alabama won The Professional Putters Association (PPA) Georgia State Championship Sunday, August 29th played at the Putt-Putt Fun Center in Martinez, Georgia. Reeves, the 1997 PPA National Champion, shot 65 under par 151 for the six round, 108 hole medal play event.

    The 49 year old Reeves used a fourth round 22 to move from 10th place to first. Despite a final round 28, Reeves held on to beat runner up Rick Baird by two. Baird, the 2007 PPA National Champion, followed a seventh round 20 with a final round...
